3:21. એ દષ્ટાત પ્રમાણે તે પાણી બાપ્તિસ્મા સમાન છે જે તમને અત્યારે બચાવે છે. બાપ્તિસ્મા એ શરીરનો મેલ દૂર કરવાની પ્રક્રિયા નથી. બાપ્તિસ્મા તો ઈશ્વર પાસે શુદ્ધ હ્રદય માટેની એક યાચના છે. તે તમને બચાવે છે કારણ કે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત મૂએલામાંથી પુનરૂત્થાન પામ્યો હતો.

3:21. And this prefigured baptism, which now saves you— not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience to God— through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

3:21. And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
